May Product Highlights: Smarter Portals, Email Replies, and More Ways to Save Time
Our focus for May centered around a few key areas; Ease of use, workflow flexibility, and laying the groundwork for even bigger things ahead.
Easier Logins, Smarter Access
We overhauled our Portal authentication system to make it both more secure and more user-friendly. Now, when you add users to an event group, they'll receive a confirmation email and can choose to sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Email + Password. Fewer barriers, faster onboarding.
Comment from Your Inbox
When someone tags you in a comment, you already know what you want to say—but logging in and finding the ticket slows things down. That's no longer necessary. Just hit reply on the email notification and your response will post directly to the thread. This is our first step toward full email-to-ticket functionality, and it's live now.
Inspections, Planning, and Portal Improvements
Our new annual inspections tool is live, starting with California's Williams (FIT) inspection. You can now bulk-convert violations into work orders, with additional inspection types coming soon. Over in PlanningHQ, budgets are now editable directly from the screen, with all changes cleanly handled in reporting and totals. We've also rolled out several usability upgrades to the Portal itself, including improved calendar views and a more intuitive navigation layout.
Other Notable Updates
- New invoice filters (Draft, Sent) plus faster dashboard load times
- Ability to archive workflows while keeping them for reporting
- Asset hierarchy support with parent/child relationships
- Optional inventory markup by catalog
- Increased number of spaces allowed per event
- Improved filtering, dropdowns, and layout responsiveness
- Followers now receive comment notifications, even without being @mentioned
